U-SYNC can automatic set the "SHIFT" slider in the plugin based on your recordings.

To do so, after pressing the "Auto-detect" button, you need to:

1. Record your hardware to a track - make sure monitoring is disabled
2. Route the recording (audio or MIDI) to the U-SYNC plugin
3. play it back

The plugin will look at the start of the audio at the beginning of the bar, so make sure to record over a bar change.

For step 2:

• MIDI can usually be recorded directly on the plugin track
  • otherwise you can select your MIDI track as MIDI input on the U-SYNC plugin track
• Audio should be routed to the side-chain input of the plugin
  • check how to select the side-chain input in your specific DAW
